Nigerian musician Orezi has warned his associates that he will sever ties with anyone who expresses support for Lindsay Clancy, the American mother accused of killing her three children.

The singer made his stance clear in a post shared on his official Instagram account, reacting to the public discourse and various opinions surrounding Clancy's case. Orezi emphasized that he will not tolerate any defense of Clancy from his friends, regardless of the perspective or reasoning they might use to view the situation.

"If you are my friend and I see that you support Lindsay Clancy in any type of way, no matter what angle you decide to judge her situation from, consider our friendship over,"

he wrote.

The artist also stated that he would engage in a serious confrontation with any friend who tried to debate the issue with him, explaining that he cannot comprehend how anyone could feel empathy for her. Highlighting the details of the tragedy, Orezi wrote,

"That woman strangled her 3 kids to death, 3 oooh. One of them was 8 months old."

He concluded his message by demanding severe legal consequences, writing,

"She should rot in jail."

Why It Matters

The case of Lindsay Clancy, a Massachusetts nurse accused of killing her three young children in January 2023 before attempting suicide, has drawn international attention and sparked intense public debate. Defense attorneys have argued that Clancy was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis, a rare but serious mental health emergency that can cause hallucinations, delusions, and paranoia in new mothers. The tragedy has deeply polarized public opinion, highlighting the complex intersection of maternal mental healthcare, criminal accountability, and the severe stigma surrounding postpartum psychiatric disorders.
