Over 200,000 people newly displaced in Sudan’s Kordofan as fighting rages

More than 200,000 people have been newly displaced across the Kordofan region of Sudan since late last year due to escalating conflict, the United Nations has reported. This warning, issued on Wednesday by the UN’s International Organization for Migration (IOM), comes as ongoing drone strikes target critical electricity and water infrastructure in El Obeid, the region's
