Nigeria National League (NNL) outfit Cynosure FC has named Raheem Tajudeen as the club's new head coach, according to a report by DAILY POST.
The appointment of the new tactician was officially confirmed via social media on Sunday. Tajudeen has already taken charge of the squad as they begin preparations for the 2026-27 season.
In his new role, Tajudeen is charged with the task of guiding the team to a better finish than they achieved in the NNL last season. To help meet this objective, he plans to bolster the squad by bringing in new signings.
As part of their pre-season preparations for the upcoming campaign, Cynosure FC is scheduled to participate in a series of warm-up friendly matches.
Why It Matters
The Nigeria National League (NNL) serves as the second-tier division of professional club football in Nigeria, positioned just below the top-flight Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). Teams competing in the NNL face intense pressure to secure promotion to the premier division, which brings substantial increases in revenue, media coverage, and prestige. For clubs like Cynosure FC, appointing experienced coaching staff and rebuilding the roster is a standard strategy to mount a serious promotion campaign and avoid relegation to the lower amateur ranks.
