Nigerian singer Alexander Adelabu, widely known by his stage name Magixx, has announced the passing of his mother, Esther, describing the loss as one of the most painful experiences of his life. The 26-year-old Mavin Records artist shared a tribute on social media, admitting that he is struggling to come to terms with the reality of her death.
In his tribute, Magixx recalled his mother's strength, noting how she supported her family and helped others, continuing to show love and kindness even while dealing with illness. He described her as his biggest supporter and reflected on the unique bond they shared.
“I have never felt pain like this. Never been this lost. Still processing that this is real. Can’t believe this happened to you, Mom,”
he wrote.
Expressing the depth of his grief and appreciation, he added:
“You are my reason, my why, my guardian, my twin, my everything,”
The musician also remembered Esther for her wit, free spirit, and kindness, which he said naturally drew people to her. He expressed regret that he was unable to tell her in person one more time how much he loved her, declaring that he would choose her as his mother again in every lifetime.
