Los Angeles Rams legend Aaron Donald has taken another step toward a potential return to the NFL. On Sunday, the defensive tackle was listed on the league's official transaction wire after finishing his second summer workout with the franchise.
Donald originally announced his retirement in March 2024, concluding a dominant 10-year career spent entirely with the Rams. However, he returned to the practice field earlier this month, following Los Angeles' acquisition of defensive end Myles Garrett via a trade in June.
Rams head coach Sean McVay spoke about Donald's status on Saturday, following the team's preseason victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. McVay emphasized that the organization is not rushing the veteran into making a decision.
"He's put himself in a position to be able to say yes or no," McVay told reporters. "I think he's earned that right to have clarity on that. We're not at that point quite yet."
